ATHENS, Ala. (AP) — Limestone County sheriff's officers say an intoxicated 16-year-old who entered a home through a window and crawled into bed with a woman has been charged with burglary.
Chief Investigator Capt. Stanley McNatt says the teen believed the woman was a female friend who no longer lives there.
The woman, who was sleeping, awakened early Sunday when the teenager lay down. Investigators say she jumped up and alerted relatives.
Officers arrested the teenager, whose name was withheld because he is a juvenile. He was charged with second-degree burglary and released into his parents' custody.
