Update: DHR has been notified and Newton Police are being notified. Possible Child Abuse at Momma Nells Daycare in Newton, Al

By Cassi Parker (mother of the child)

This is for all the mothers and fathers out there with children in daycare. My little girl maddison has never stayed with anybody but her parents or grandparents. She started daycare at mama nells in newton monday march 26 th. She seemed to do ok on the first day.
She was picked up by my mother in law on tuesday march 27 th, the second day she had ever been there and these purple bruise and welp marks were NEVER mentioned.
As she took her to eat with my husband and father she went to change her diaper and was shocked at what she saw!!!! My husband rushed up there to talk to mama nell and to his surprise she said she "fell" out of a small toddler chair. Now granted my child is only 2 and cant exactly tell me what happened but she said she was spanked. She said mom pank pank butt hurt!!!!
Now my heart, gut, and my lil babys bottom shows me otherwise!!!!! I believe my child was spanked by a worker there. These were no marks of a child falling out of small chair. She wont even let us ride by there without saying no mom no!!!!! I hope to get this out there so this will not happen to your child like it did my sweet little maddison!!!!!

UPDATE:

The family stated.....We have been notified that DHR is now investigating this case and the local police is being notified for an investigation.

Authorities seek 3 escaped inmates, ESCAPED CONVICTS HAS BEEN CAPTURED !

UPDATE:

News Leader 9 has learned that all three inmates who escaped Russell County Jail have been captured. The inmates had been on the run following their breakout Thursday night.
Adam Wesley Barringer, 30, and John Curtis Hendrix, 27, were captured just after 4:00 p.m. Officials were concerned about Barringer trying to retaliate against witnesses that testified against him in court.

One of the inmates, 41-year-old Charles Smith, was captured late Friday morning. The details of his capture are not known at this point.
The suspects were seen on a surveillance camera leaving the jail, ditching their shirts and leaving only in pants. Although the suspects left the jail unarmed, it's possible that they may have obtained weapon by now.
Sheriff Heath Taylor tells News Leader 9 that Barringer is a convicted murderer. Barringer was recently convicted of a 2010 murder and was awaiting sentencing.

The others were in custody for non-violent crimes. Smith is serving a sentence for burglary and weapons possession. While Hendrix was in jail on charges of theft and obstruction of justice.
The Russell County Sheriff's Office held a press conference Friday morning to address their efforts to find the inmates. Sheriff Taylor told us two of the inmates tried to escape just four months ago.

Meanwhile, the Russell County Jail is on lock down (no visitation).

The sheriff is holding a press conference this evening on the details of Friday's search.

Russell County authorities are searching for three inmates who escaped from the county jail Thursday night. All Russell County schools have been put on lock down.
The three are identified as 27-year-old John Curtis Hendrix who is a white male. Also, Charles Smith who is a 40-year-old black male, and 30-year-old Adam Wesley Barringer, another white male.
Sheriff Heath Taylor tells News Leader 9 that Barringer is a convicted murderer. No details are being released on what charges the other two suspects were being held on.
Sheriff's deputies are using a helicopter and dogs to search for the suspects. The helicopter, piloted by the Metro Narcotics Division, has concentrated searches on a subdivision just to the north of the jail on Highway 431 South.
Authorities are advising residents in the area to be aware that the suspects are on the loose and make sure they lock their doors. They say if you see anyone matching the descriptions to call authorities immediately.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of these men, please call the Russell County Jail at 334-298-6535.
