Carl Edmondson, white male, 47 years of age, of Ashford, Alabama was arrested and charged with First Degree Assault


On January 18, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a vehicle collision with injuries on Bethlehem Road. Traffic Investigators say the collision occurred as a result of an impaired driver pulling into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The victim was treated for multiple injuries at a local hospital. The suspect was also taken to a local hospital for treatment where investigators obtained a subpoena for medical records of his blood alcohol level. Traffic Investigators say they received the test results on January 25, 2012 which confirmed the suspect was impaired by alcohol at the time of the collision. Upon receipt of this information, investigators signed and executed a warrant taking the suspect into custody for felony assault.

Vincent Jamar McMiller, black male, 22 years of age, of South Park Avenue was arrested and charged with Third Degree Robbery


On January 24, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a robbery of a person in the 300 block of East Lafayette Street. Upon arrival, the victim told police he was walking to his mailbox when a vehicle stopped on the roadway in front of his home. He said the driver approached and assaulted him knocking him to the ground. While on the ground, the suspect removed cash from the victims’ pocket then returned to his vehicle. Investigators have been working with the victim to identify the suspect who has now been arrested and charged with robbery.



·        Vincent Jamar McMiller, black male, 22 years of age, of South Park Avenue was arrested and charged with Third Degree Robbery with a $15,000 bond.

WANTED MAN HAS BEEN CAPTURED !


Earlier today the Dothan Police Department requested the help of our local media and community in locating a man wanted for felony theft. On January 24, 2012 investigators signed a warrant for the arrest of Johnny Jerome Hill following a recent investigation. Police say Hill recently entered a local business where he stole a gold chain link necklace from the business owner. Police have now located and arrested Hill bringing the case to a close.



·        Johnny Jerome Hill, black male, 30 years of age, of Kinsey Road was arrested for Second Degree Theft of Property with a $15,000 bond.

@ 9:00 am. Allowing Animals to Run at Large. Mildred St. Victim (Alfreda W. Speaks) reported suspect’s (Dorthea Baxter) dogs keep coming to her property and destroying stuff. Victim made an attempt to speak to suspect with no success. 

@ 10:00 am. Allowing Dogs to Run at Large. Tucker St. Animal Control has received numerous complaints on suspect (Dorthea Baxter) concerning her dogs roaming the neighborhood. Suspect has failed to comply with Animal Control concerning her animals. 

@ 11:40 am. Animal Complaint/Cat Bite. Peters Dr. Victim (Christine King) stated she attempted to pick up a stray cat when it bit her. Victim released cat to animal control for testing. 

@ 12:26 pm. Criminal Trespass 3rd. Danny Ct. Victim (Rachel Rice) stated an unknown suspect had entered the apartment set the thermostat to 90° without permission.

@ 5:33 pm. Harassing Communications. Ashley Dr. Victim (Robin L. Deromo) stated an unknown suspect continuously called her home phone without speaking. 

@ 5:49 pm. Harassment. Hwy 231. Victim (Robin L. Beasley) stated suspect (Shannon Willis) confronted her and threatened to physically assault her for no apparent reason. 

@ 8:53 pm. Burglary 3rd/Theft of Property 3rd. Bonnie Dr. Victim (Bridget N. Hammon) stated an unknown suspect entered her home and removed property without permission.

Darius Trawick arrested for felony investigation

On January 24, 2012 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest following a recent burglary investigation. Police responded to the 2200 block of Rocky Branch Road where the victim reported the residential burglary on December 4, 2011. Police say they have now identified and arrested the suspect, Darius Trawick.


• Darius Trawick, black male, 19 years of age, of Rocky Branch Road was arrested and charged with Third Degree Burglary with a $2,500 bond.

Body found in Barbour County could be missing man





The positive identity of the body has not been established at this time.

Just last week the Barbour County Sheriff's Office suspended the search for Pugh, but continued to investigate his whereabouts.

Coroner Chapman says the cause of death will be determined by the state forensic lab, which is where the body will be sent Wednesday morning.

UPDATE: Dothan Police investagating murder at Primetime club, arrest made


Travarius Dewaunkalis Daniel, black male, 30 years of age, of Birmingham, Alabama was arrested and charged with Murder with no bond.

On January 22, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a fight involving multiple people at Primetime, 230 East Powell Street at 3:17 a.m. While responding, officers were updated approximately ten shots had been fired. Seconds later that information was further updated to a firearm assault. Upon arrival, police found the victim, Anthony Robinson, lying in front of the club suffering from a gunshot wound in the chest. Robinson was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to the injury a short time later.

Upon arrival, police say Primetime was declared a crime scene. Officers began a diligent effort that continued throughout the day and night to document patrons present during the shooting as well as collect and photograph evidence. Police conducted over fifty interviews and served numerous search warrants of vehicles present at the club. Investigators stated the handling of such a large scene involving many people was conducted very thoroughly had a significant impact on the outcome of this homicide investigation.

Police say they have now identified and arrested the shooter in this case. Investigators say at approximately 3:00 a.m. an altercation occurred in front of the club involving multiple subjects to include the suspect, Travarius Daniel, and the victim, Anthony Robinson. During the fight, Daniel pulled a handgun and fatally shot Robinson. Daniel then ran across the roadway where he fired two additional rounds. Daniel then unsuccessfully attempted to gain entry into a nearby business then proceeded back to Primetime where he was detained by police during the immediate investigation. Daniel has remained in police custody as the prime suspect while investigators have worked to gather evidence and witness statements.
