Man Robs Opelika Wells Fargo Bank, Dye Pack Explodes When Exiting Bank ,





 Tuesday morning around 9:15 a.m. the Opelika Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 603 South 6th Street.

 
Witnesses stated to police that a black male dressed in white tennis shoes and blue jeans and a burgundy button-up shirt with a gray t-shirt wrapped around his face  entered the bank, firing a shot into the ceiling and demanded money.

The suspect's weapon was described as small and silver hand gun 
Eye witness stated that the suspect fled on foot and headed east. After exiting the bank , a dye pack exploded.
The suspect may have red dye on his body.

The subject is described as a black male around 6'2 and appx 185 lbs. Subject may be driving older model pickup
