Toddler falls from 3rd story window; mother arrested

A 3-year-old girl was flown to the hospital Friday morning after falling from a third story window, and Hamilton Police have arrested the child's mother.
It happened just before 9 a.m. in the 500 block of Monument Avenue.
The child was taken to Fort Hamilton Hospital and subsequently taken via Air Care to University Hospital.
After investigating the incident, Hamilton Police have arrested Miranda Maggard, 29, and charged her with child endangering. Police say Maggard left the child alone at the time of the injury, allowing her the opportunity to climb onto a table and eventually fell out of the third story window.
In a 911 call that was released to the media, the caller says she was with the child that fell out of the window and was not able to find her parents. She also said the child was conscious but hurt.
The child is currently under observation with non-life threatening but serious injuries.
