The snake was spotted by a Rumpke driver at around 11 a.m. Thursday near a dumpster in the parking lot of the KFC on Beechmont Avenue. The driver was loading the contents of the dumpster into his truck when he spotted the animal.
Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputies responded and were able to get the snake's tail around a broom, and then lift the snake into a cardboard box.
The SPCA responded to get the snake.
It's still unclear how the snake got there.
According to National Geographic, Burmese pythons are native to southeast Asia, but are known as a snake of choice for reptile owners. They are commonly released into the wild when owners don't want to care for them any more.
