Columbus police have arrested two people in connection to the Wednesday night shooting following a car accident on Macon Road in front of Kmart.
Jasheeda Greene and her son, Jakevion Greene, have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Authorities say Howard Hardick Jr. cut the Greenes off which is when their car rammed his in retaliation.
They all pulled into a parking lot, which is when Jakevion Green fire shots, hitting Hardick in the arm. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Jasheeda has also been charged with aggressive driving.
Isaac Brown who typically sells doughnuts outside of Kmart as fundraiser, told News Leader 9 that it's not often things like this happen in Midtown and believes this type of incident represents the actions of a select few people.
"It's not a whole group of people it's one person or maybe two people," Brown said.
Both suspect are being held in the Muscogee County Jail and will appear in Recorder's Court Saturday.
