Clifton Lane Marsh---Brundidge Man---Shot To Death By Police

A Brundidge man was shot to death over the weekend by police in Waveland, Mississippi---the day he celebrated his 31st birthday.
Officers in Mississippi say Clifton Lane Marsh was shot and killed by a patrolman after the two became involved in a chase over the weekend.
State Highway Patrol Master Sgt. Johnny Poulos said Waveland police responded to a suspicious vehicle behind a Mississippi hotel early Saturday. Police said when Marsh fled, the officer chased him on foot. Poulos said Marsh pulled a gun during the pursuit and the officer shot him.
The Southeast Sun newspaper reports Coffee County court records show a warrant was issued March 13 for Marsh after he failed to meet conditions of a bond in connection with two 2011 Enterprise arrests, one of which was manufacturing of methamphetamine. At the time of Marsh's arrest his address was listed as Cinema Drive, Enterprise.
The newspaper also reports District Judge Paul Sherling allowed Marsh to post bond under the condition Marsh wear a GPS ankle monitor. A warrant was issued after court officials discovered Marsh allowed the batteries to go dead and failed to pay fees associated with the ankle monitor.
WDHN reports Marsh had a long history of criminal offenses dating back until at least 2004.  He faced several drug charges, obstructing government operations, speeding, and probation revocation.
