Elderly Woman Fights Off Intruder With Stick and Boiling Water

 A stick and a pot of boiling water were all an elderly Texas woman had to defend herself from an intruder and it turned out they were all she needed.

When a man broke into Lillie McClendon's home early Sunday and demanded money, the 83-year-old fought him off with the only weapons she had available.

"I got this stick. I had some sausage on the stove. I poured that water on him. I told him... 'what kind of momma you got that raised you up like this,'" McClendon said.

The man got away, but McClendon was unhurt.
