Dothan police arrests purse snatchers from local doctors office

On October 4, 2011 the Dothan Police Department received a report of a theft on West Main Street. The victim told police her purse had been stolen while at a local doctor’s office. The victim described a male and female that where together, also in the office at the time of the theft. The victim also described the vehicle they were driving and strongly believed they were responsible for the theft. A description of the vehicle and suspects was issued and a short time later, an alert traffic officer responded to an unrelated call involving persons matching the earlier description. During the course of the call, the officer located the stolen property belonging to the victim in the suspects’ vehicle. Both suspects were arrested for theft.


·        David Marsala, male, 32 years of age, of Eufaula, Alabama was arrested and charged with Second Degree Theft of Property with a $15,000 bond.

·        Jennifer Durbin, white female, 29 years of age, of Eufaula, Alabama was arrested and charged with Second Degree Theft of Property with a $15,000 bond.
